4 days into our trip to take supplies to survivors of Hurricane Katrina, I've finally had a bit of time to upload some of the early images I've captured along the way. Most of these are from Mississippi, where the destruction is absolutely incredible - significantly worse than what we've seen in Louisiana so far. When I get home I will be uploading a more complete set of photos with labels. The trip so far has gone very well. We've been able to supply some folks who have been ignored, although the relief effort is clearly under full steam now. People in general seem in good spirits and have clearly been cleaning up non-stop since the Hurricane hit. We've seen a huge amount of relief workers from all over the country - even as far North as Maine. Virtually everyone we've seen has been affiliated with a Church, which is a very good reminder of exactly what role religious institutions play in American society and how important they really are.
