My friend Pat let me in on this event last minute - man, was it a blast. Before you ask, no I did not sing. I contemplated doing Judas Priest's Breakin' the Law but wimped out. I'll have to hone my karaoke skills somewhere a bit more private before moving up to the big leagues.The event took place at 305 South a new artists space in Durham. This space has loads of potential - it's a great building, good low stage and is run by extremely cool people. Can't wait to see what they do with it. This event was a benefit for Ladyfest NC, a non-profit organization putting together a festival to "showcase, celebrate and encourage the art and activism of women everywhere".
