The wonderful Mice Parade came back to town! This time opening for Stereolab. Got to chat a bit more with Dylan this time and he was able to answer the question I always get asked - it's a vibraphone - the one with spinning disks that make it go "Wa wa wa wa". I stopped short of asking if I could take photos of him breaking it down, in fear of cramping his style even further.Also got a chance to blubber like an idiot to Doug Scharin, one of my favorite drummers of all time. I introduced myself, he had seen the original photos I took, Stereolab started and we kind of just fell into an uncomfortable silence. D'oh! What a moron! Oh well, next time maybe. You're the man, Doug - if I could have 1/10 your talent I'd be a happy man!Needless to say, they were awesome as ever.
