A few months ago, I took photos at the CD release party for the "I Can't Get That Evil Weiner Song Out of My Head" album - a collection of tributes to Evil Weiner. The show consisted of Evil Weiner as backup band for all the performers involved, and was a great time. However, that night I missed out on getting photos of the fabulous John Howie doing a fantastic cover of one of my personal favorites - Silver Dollars. I was putzing around with my camera, transferring files so I could continue shooting - and I've spent the last few months kicking myself for not capturing one of the best moments of the entire show. ARGH!To make matters worse, I was talking to another performer from that night a couple weeks ago - asking her if she had seen then photos I had gotten of her. She said that John Howie had passed on the link, and that he thought it was strange that I got photos of everyone except him! Double ARGH! So, sorry John - don't take it personally, I really really enjoyed your cover and to prove it here's a series of photos to make amends! :)If you haven't caught Two Dollar Pistols yet, you probably don't live in North Carolina - they are an absolutely incredible country band that has a style in keeping with the early days - George Jones, Johnny Cash, etc. This show was a release party for their new CD, which you can buy at http://www.yeproc.com, and you can check out the band's website at http://www.twodollarpistols.com/.
