Man, I narrowly missed out on seeing my pals Proof yet again by driving all the way to Raleigh without 'film' for my camera. Wow, what a chump. Luckily, I realized my mistake while talking to Proof's very cool drummer John (who I met for the first time that night - nice talking to you John, sorry for cutting out on you!) and raced back to the HSP to grab what I needed. I got back to the club during their second song, and was able to get some decent shots.Proof is one of my favorite Raleigh bands - they have a heavy "Chicago-sound" type vibe, with perhaps a bit of arty Drive Like Jehu influence (maybe that's just me projecting) going on - in other words, right up my alley.
